:shock: Can one open jasperreports sample xxx.jrxml files in the jasperassistant perspective in eclipse IDE? How?

Something must be done in addition to installation and configuration - what are they?

got this message when trying to open a sample provided by JR(1.2.3):
"Unable to create this part due to an internal error. Reason for the failure: Invalid Input: Must be IFileEditorInput"

Hi,

You must create an Eclipse project and place JasperReports files there. From your error message it looks like you are trying to open an external file, which is not part of the project. This *does not* work.
